Our objective is to facilitate the learning of our languages following the guidelines as set by the European Languages Frame of Reference.
We combine teaching of the different aspects of the language in our classes and promote development of linguistic skills through an especially communicative method. But in order to develop communicative ability it is also important to look at other, not strictly linguistic aspects such as:
· the affective component, that is to say, the student feels comfortable and supported throughout the process of learning and acquisition of language
· helping the student improve his/her learning plan
· promote his/her creativity
· familiarise him/her with sociocultural aspects
At Paralaia language and culture go hand-in-hand. We include in our programmes the teaching of everyday culture to ease the student's integration. Furthermore, one of our main objectives is to show our rich cultural diversity.
